hmm...depends on your gameplay

i like to load 5 protection, retention, 2-3-4 energy, and sometimes damage or poison,in my flak,rocket.
mini i load with inf, piercing, 1 energy 1 retention 1 poison.
shock is always a healing tool- 1 retention 10 healing Wink
mine is depending on a safe place from which i can shoot-either retention, 3 energy, 2 poison and 5 damage/protection
link is inf,spread,retention and just enough room for 1 energy Wink
reemers etc i load with 1 poison 1 energy 1 retention,and the rest damage (big bada boom Wink

hmmm i dont know about penetrating- 1 definition is that it just goes through shields,other that it kills like there is no damage reduction...

1 seeker,force, 2 healing and other damage in my rocket
many energy in my flak ( raise weapon )
the shock rifle is a healing tool too ( for my charms )
sniper : many damage ( max ) then its like a half InstaGib for normal Monsters
lighting: same as sniper
minigun many poison Wink , damage and rention, piercing, penetrating
shield gun : many protection ( super shield gun Very Happy )
mine layer : poison
Bio Rifle: spread x2, poiosn and damage
link gun: spread x2, damage and protection sometimes
redeemer : poiosn, damage, a few force upgrades ( the missile fly to slow for me Wink )
ion painter : poison and damage
target painter : poison, damage
avril: healing tool
assault rifle: poison

and in all weapons sometimes energy
but ever rention Very Happy

dude u have to put retention,so u dont loose them when u die. And we all die :p
weapon summon is a great thing-put 2 of them in assault or avril,they disappear after 10 minutes and summon you a random weapon-even superweapons, onslought weapons....

1 think :

if you want a shock rifle and not a healing tool, put rention,damage and maybe inf
but the impotantest upgrade is penetrating
if you shoot balls ( 2,3- ? ) in a line, you can let them explode with 1 shoot
very powerfull in a small long way
